Located
between Thompson Falls and Plains, Montana, Rocky Point
Ranch and Lodge is situated in the heart of Montana's
incredible natural beauty. This destination will welcome
you to a unique setting, spacious theme rooms, and the
luxurious style of country splendor. The ranch is
handicap accessible.
This Bed & Breakfast is the perfect getaway for couples
to enjoy time with each other. If you are looking for a
place to stay for weddings, the Sanders County Fair, or
family reunions, whether in Plains or Thompson Falls
areas, come to Rocky Point Ranch and relax.
The lodge sits on a 60-acre working ranch adjacent to
the inviting Clark Fork River. The rugged Cabinet
Mountains surrounding the Lodge are carved by time and
the glaciers of old Lake Missoula. This magnificent
scenery is further blessed with its big blue skies and
crystal clear waters.
Natural
wildlife will often surprise and entertain you while the
change and beauty of Montana seasons bring continuous
enjoyment.
Come and enjoy a relaxing vacation with a good book,
play on your computer with free WiFi, or test yourself
with adventurous hiking, kayaking, rafting, fishing,
hunting or just exploring.
Your Hosts
Sam
& Patti
Sam Bernhardt and Patti Jones met in July of 2000 while they both
lived in San Jose, California. Sam had recently retired
from Aventis Pharmaceuticals after 35 years. Patti worked
at Ames Research Center for NASA and was thinking about
an early retirement.
After
some discussion and encouragement, Sam convinced Patti
it was a good idea to leave California for good and “go
home” to Montana, where he was raised. Patti said “why
not, but what will we do with all our free time?”
That got Sam’s wheels spinning and he bought some land
and started planning a house big enough for their two
families to visit and enjoy. They tried volunteering for
every civic project that came their way and even developed
a Halloween party for the local kids. Patti wasn’t happy,
there was too much free time. She needed more to occupy
her life. All poor Sam wanted to do was fish, hunt and
play golf.
After two years of talking, they thought maybe doing
just a little part time work would be fun. The more they
talked the bigger and BIGGER their plans became…maybe
something like a B&B, or take in a few hunters. In
2006 they opened their doors to their first B&B customers.
Sam and Patti love entertaining and being hosts for your
enjoyment and pleasure. They hope you will join them at
their Montana ranch.
